2014 Exhibitions

This weekend Shawplan are at  Scalefour North, at the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School.

Its been a busy year already one way and another, and we’ll provide further updates on new products soon. Warley 2013 Stand D36

ViTrains Class 47 Laserglaze Windows and Extreme Etchings fan set

Just a quick update, this weekend its the Warley Model Railway Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
We’re there on stand D36, come and see us. The header picture is of a ViTrains class 47 which has been modified using components manufactured and supplied by us.

We often get asked how to use or apply some of our etches and in this months Railway Modeller, Paul Marshall-Potter  http://albionyard  provides step by step instructions on this particular model.

Well its been a while since we’ve posted anything, but we’ve been busy in the background! One of the summer developments which has taken a while to achieve is putting all the components into an online catalogue, so its easy to find what we do and the price of the items. Weare still developing the website but hopefully this major step forward will help you the customer, as well as ourselves in the office!

Laserglaze Developments

We have an addition to the Laserglaze range too. We have completed tooling for the windows for the Bachmann and Mainline class 03 and 04 diesel shunters. Please note this only covers the original body moulds rather than the current version. The contemporary version is currently one of the work in progress items. We also have in development a window pack to fit the Hornby 2-BIL, further news on these in due course.

Extreme Etchings

With the Class 37 being one of the most popular locomotive types, we are working on a modification kit to provide new roof panels to model the 37/9 variants. We are hoping to release this kit in time for the Warley show in late November. Both single and double exhaust  ports types will be produced, price code TBC.

This weekend we are at the Peterborough show, drop by and say hello!

This weekend we are at one of your busiest shows, DEMU Showcase. In the run up to the show we have been working on new products and these cab roof vents are one of the new items we hope to have for showcase.

We’ve designed them so they fold up from a one piece etch which automatically forms two fixing pins to help fix them to the cab roofs.

Railex Aylesbury 2013

This weekend we are at Railex in Aylesbury, and are pleased to announce some new items.
Following on from our last entry we have included some new laserglaze products and there are also new releases in our extreme etchings range. The images below shows our components used on a Hornby Railroad class 40, they include laser cut windows, etched headcode surround, frost grills, roof fan and grill and front cab window surrounds. What a difference it makes!

On to our new releases,

EELG4023A Lima Class 117 DMS Extra windows conversion pack. Price Code G
This allows a modeller to converting an unpowered DMB to a DMS to reflect the normal DMU three car unit configuration using Lima components. This kit covers the extra windows required.

EELG4030 Airfix/Dapol LMS Suburban 57′ All Third Price Code K
This kit contains sufficient windows to covert a lav composite to an all Third configuration

From our extreme etchings we are pleased to announce etches in 4mm and 2mm scales.

These are to scale and correctly profiled to give an accurate shape to the cabside windows on any 4mm scale Class 47.

For 2mm scale and N Gauge modellers, suitable for updating Bachmann and Graham Farish models.
