This weekend it’s the Warley Show at the Birmingham NEC, look forward to seeing you there!
Just a quick update, this weekend its the Warley Model Railway Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
We’re there on stand D36, come and see us. The header picture is of a ViTrains class 47 which has been modified using components manufactured and supplied by us.
We often get asked how to use or apply some of our etches and in this months Railway Modeller, Paul Marshall-Potter http://albionyard provides step by step instructions on this particular model.
See you there, Stand D36
We are pleased this week to announce a number of new products in the Laserglaze range. This batch of releases includes windows for some of the very popular classes and vehicles we’ve frequently received requests for. Pictured above is the venerable Airfix GWR Autocoach, now produced by Hornby which with a few evenings work can still be made to look really good with our latest Laserglaze pack and the excellent detailing pack from Dart Castings (http://www.dartcastings.co.uk/dart/DK1.php)
This set covers the popular Class 416 EMU, each pack contains sufficient windows for one coach. Just arrived and shortly to go into tooling is the Class 419 MLV, further updates will be announced here.
The ever popular Hornby class 25/0 is now included in the Laserglaze range. Whilst the body moulding is very much a heritage model, the difference adding this flush glazing and one of our extreme etchings roof fan grill sets makes is well worth the effort.
Bachmann 25/0 and 25/3
Two sets of glazing are released this weekend for the Bachmann class 25 models. The 25/0 body and cab are covered by catalogue number EEFG2501, and the later body style 25/3 is catalogue number EEFG2502.

16th November 2012
This year has been very busy with various projects, and we are currently very busy with the preparations for the Warley show at the NEC. This is our latest laserglaze product in the final stages of tooling for the 4mm scale Bachmann 2EPB class 416. There are similarities between this unit and the MLV class 419, and we hope to be able to produce the MLV hot on the tail of the 2EPB.
In the next few days we will anounce another laserglaze product for one of the most requested coaches from the heritage era. This coach too is under final tooling checks and we hope to have both in stock at Warley. Check back in the next few days for more news.
Over the past few weeks we have been doing more development of our ranges, and are pleased to announce two new introductions to the laserglaze product range. Firstly by popular demand the glazing for the Heljan 4mm scale class 26 has been produced. There are options within the kit to produce a locomotive with open cabside windows, or with closed windows as per the original model. The test model had a plated over door window, however for those of you modelling a cab door with windows, these are supplied on the fret. Note as well the open discs from the extreme etchings range.
Our latest addition to the ‘heritage’ range is a simple glazing set to improve the appearance of the new GWR Dia N13 horsebox from Hornby. As you can see the difference is remarkable. Look out for other new additions to the range through the coming months.
Finally a new view showing the laserglaze Bachmann 08 window kit. Another simple transformation you can make using our products.
These three products will be available this weekend at the Doncaster show, we look forward to seeing you there.
26th January 2012
Today we have updated the show diary with the exhibitions we are attending. We look forward to seeing soon, this weekend we are at Normanton and Pontefract.
Just a quick note to pass our thanks to the many customers who came to see us at Warley, we know at times it was so busy we couldn’t get to talk to everyone, but we had a really good weekend and we hope you did too. This week we have been busy replenishing stock for our last two shows this year, Wakefield and Wigan.
As mentioned above this weekend we are at the Wakefield show, hosted by the Wakefield Railway Modellers Society.
Thornes Park Athletic Stadium,
Do come and see us there

Today we’re pleased to show some of our recent etches in our nameplates and depot plaques range. These are all measured from the actual locomotive nameplates themselves as we pride ourselves in ensuring the products we sell are of the highest quality.
Both Pullman liveried class 47’s, Solway Princess and Galloway Princess are available ex stock across the 7mm, 4mm, and 2mm scales, and are some of our best nameplates yet. The full color crests on these plates are decals, which give a superb rendition of these unique nameplates.
Next up is the iconic Fragonset Dragon available in both 7mm and 4mm scale, really showing the quality achieveable with our stainless steel etches.
We’ve also just finished the complete range of depot plaques in 7mm scale. Whichever depot you wish to represent on your locomotive in either 7mm or 4mm scale, we are able to supply suitable plaques from stock. Like our nameplates above, these too have been measured from the actual depot plaques to ensure the accuracy and authenticity we strive for.
We continue development in our laserglaze range. This week we have completed the tooling for the Hornby 08/09 replacement glazing, which covers the early and late cab door variants. The later door having rounded corners to the window frames. These are ex-stock and are on the stand at Warley. In development tooling are the replacement cab windows for the Bachmann 08/09 which we hope to release in the run up to the christmas period.
Don’t forget our ‘Heritage’ laserglaze range, which covers the Bachmann high and low cab GWR pannier tanks, and our most recent releases of brake van glazing for the Bachmann GWR Toad and the Hornby LMS/BR 20T brake van. Development is underway in the Heritage range of other coaching and parcels stock, and we will post updates here in due course.
Finally this weekend is the Warley show at the NEC and we are there, stand C12. Please come and say hello, we hope to meet both new and existing customers over the weekend.
11th November 2011
Its been a couple of weeks since our last update and we are now into the very busy winter season with shows almost every weekend. One of our next laser cut glazing replacement kits is for the Bachmann 4mm/OO 08 shunter which will complement the previously released kit for Hornby’s model. The image above is the first test shot and we anticipate release in the next week or so, possibly in time for the Warley show at the NEC. There will be a further update this week with news of Extreme Etching releases including some namepletes we’re particularly proud of and a new item for the Heritage laser cut glasing range. This weekend we are at the Spalding show, please see the show guide for more details, and we look forward to seeing you there.
